  1. Lay bricks: 600 ÷ 300 per person-day = 2 person-days; ÷ 2 people = 1 days
  2. Whole days to book: 1 rounded up = 1

How it works

  1. Person-days = quantity ÷ output per person per day
  2. Days on site for a task = person-days ÷ people on the task; tasks are added up as if done one after another
  3. Labour cost = person-days × your day rate per person

Output rates vary with the job, access, weather and the people doing it: use figures from your own jobs where you can.

Whole days to book rounds the total up to the next full day.
